One useful function in the “manage” menu for InfoCubes and Classic DSOs was the selective deletion. This function is not available in Advanced DSOs. As a work around execute ABAP/4 report RSDRD_DELETE_FACTS or transaction DELETE_FACTS.
With this transaction you can either specify the selection criteria immediately and execute online or in batch or proceed to generate both the selection program and the deletion program, even specifying a name.
Hello,
I just try to do a selective deletion on an Advanced DSO. At first, I didn’t find my advanced DSO in the combo list of the field “Data Target”, so I typed it directly. Then, when I run the job, it never stop when I check it in SM66.
Do you have the same issue ? If yes, how did you solve it please ?
Thank you for your help.
Pascal.
Hi, Pascal: I did not have that issue. I cannot test right now as I am in a 7.3 environment, so no Advanced DSO so far… 🙁
Is there a way to selective delete from an inbound table? We do not active the table in question due to the large volume of data because we cannot delete a request when there is an error and we need to reload the latest request. So we are only using the inbound table.
You could that with code in the transformation start routine that feeds the ADSO
